    PlayPower acquired Little Tikes Commercial to expand its family of brands and is now the world’s largest recreational play company.

    The first to launch a revolutionary modern climber, Infinity® , which won the "IDEA" design award.

    The re-engineered manufacturing facility resumed operations and led the way as the first "custom-built" manufacturing process in the industry.
  • 1998

    A devastating fire completely destroyed the rotational molding area, however, with the help of other Rubbermaid facilities, production continued.
  • 1997

    Paved the way by launching a value 5" post structure -MaxPlay® systems designed with child development experts offering maximum play and easy installation.
  • 1995

    The first to offer an exclusive epoxy primer to the paint process offering superior paint adhesion. Purchased Canadian based Paris Playground Equipment (est. 1947).

    The first to introduce realistic three-dimensional theme components including a Castle, Ship, and Frontier to the KidBuilders portfolio.
  • 1993

    Rubbermaid purchased Iron Mountain Forge and changed the name to Little Tikes Commercial.
  • 1990

    Introduced the first One Piece Spiral Slide which won 2 awards including "Product of the Year" and "First Place" in the Large Category by the Worldwide Association of Rotational Molders.
  • 1985

    Entered the Commercial Playground market with the introduction of the KidBuilders® product line with punched steel decks.
  • 1980

    The business moved to a 30,000 sq. ft warehouse with one truck, one trailer and five employees - sales reached $1million USD.
  • 1979

    Iron Mountain Forge®, now PlayPower LT, started operations inside a 2,000 sq. ft. warehouse.
